"To the government, we say: let's move immediately from intentions to action. The best path is to a national contract for development, social sustainability, and employment that commits the executive and social partners to a program of shared objectives. The hope is that this strategy will be supported by a broad coalition. This is no longer the time for excuses or preconceptions. Those who hold back today are taking on the responsibility of excluding themselves from a path founded on the ethics of cooperation." This was stated by CISL General Secretary Daniela Fumarola in her closing remarks at the national congress, where she launched the Pact of Responsibility. From the stage, the CISL leader reiterated that she "welcomed with satisfaction the openness to social dialogue" expressed by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. "The commitments made must quickly become a real path, necessary to guide change and recover a vision of inclusive growth," she stated.
